Notary statement or oath is a somber avowal that a statement or act is true. This statement is used to confirm a written statement known as an affidavit which is used in court, estate or land title transactions. Notary statement has much importance in our legal and other important activities. This statement is intended to authorize some events or orders which are submitted for review and authentication. This statement is exceptionally important to legalize some documents for any legal procedure. Notary statement should contain positive identification of person requesting notarization. Positive identification can only be written by notary if:
- He personally knows that person
- Notary must personally identified specific person upon the oath or affirmation of a credible witness
- Person is identified on the basis of identification documents.
Notary statement plays vital role in execution of legal process. Main purpose of notary statement is to administer oaths and affirmations in order to take affidavits and statutory declaration as well as witness. Notary authenticates execution of specific classes of documents such as acknowledgement of deeds, notice of foreign draft, protest notes and bills of exchange etc.
